" Looking to the skies. "

Spraypaint on masonite panel - 8 x 4 feet
Quest - 2006

When ever someone keeps a steady gaze on his high Ideal, on the spiritual Sun, that person becomes able to rise above and surmount all difficult situations.

In this painting, the city with it's small space represents exactly those difficult exterior situations. The fact that the luminous character is located above the clouds is a very important fact. Remember, even under the most terrible of thunderstorms, the worst of all diluvian rains, whomever would be on the back of a bird or in a plane, and could peirce through the clouds in his ascencion towards the skies would only see the sun shining, warming up and illuminating the absolutely pure air of the atmosphere.

That person's point of view would then become completely different, and the conditions which he or she would be presented with, completely diffent also. And all that simply because of a simple scientific and spiritual fact; above the clouds ... the Sun always shines.

The white birds on top of the panel symbolise the angels and all of the luminous creatures of the subtle planes, which are always ready to help whoever opens up to their beneficial influence. It can also represent the beautiful thoughts that can be sent everywhere in the Universe by anyone who has worked hard to attune himself with the superior regions of his being.

The star on top of the character's hat represents the Ideal that he carries within himself and the light shining and illuminating him little by little, the Divinity to reach.

Looking to the skies also signifies that we do not think of ourselves only as matter, but also, as Divine little sparks who are simply learning. That we come from a Divine Source, and that someday, we will go back to it, full of the wisdom and virtues aquired through our trials, tribulations and challenges on Earth.

May Heaven be with us, and let us always remember this ; in reality, in our very soul and Spirit, we are Creatures which no outer conditions can ever destroy.
