Many people do not know how to make the distinction between an authentic spiritual teaching and a sect. The two of them are unfortunatly constantly confused. On one side, some place everything in the same basket ; religions, sects, spiritual teachings, whatever, they all group them together in an "outside of regular life" category. We can say that in most cases, everything that concerns spirituality for these people is considered as mysterious, but also as strange and of no great utility. On the other hand, there are also those who really, trough their audacity, their work and their intuition, have taken the time to try spiritual life, and have discovered extraordinary elements as to the comprehension of their life and the betterment of their being on all levels. These people are brave, as they are often confronted with incomprehensions and the sceptical looks of others, even if they stay as discrete as possible and do not belong to a sect at all.

There are also some who, by a lack of good will or ignorance, categoricly refuse all forms of spirituality and classify them as being frauds, without the least investigation on their part. In the heads of some, the practice of meditation, of vegetarism and of Initiatic books are necessarily attribuable to sects. Fortunatly, more and more of these old conceptions are losing momentum and we are starting to realise for exemple, that it is perhaps not that crazy to beleive that our inner states can have a tremendous effect on our physical heatlth. A fact which has been claimed by spiritual mouvements ( in Aryuveda medecine for exemple ) for centuries, perhaps even thousand of years ! Many will be the new aquisitions of science when it will start to investigate more profoundly the authentic esoteric teachings of the world.

Of course, there exists truly negative sects whose motives are purely monetary, but the only reason why they succeed, is because people take the bait ! Being wrongly informed but well intended, some fall in the traps that are set by some shady individuals, but they do not only have themselves to blame. Yes, our contemporary world is also largely responsible for one good reason ; it's material philosphy steals people's thunder, it makes them think that what is most important in them, their living soul, does not exist. It gives the impression that spirituality is a non-important fantasy ..... when it actually is a fondemental part of all human beings ! All those who have tried to impose their rationalisation of existence, claiming that only the material is, have never suceeded and will never suceed either, because they forget that men does not only posses and intellect, but also a heart ! And this hearth sometimes feels sublime inspirations ..... that the head cannot always explain rationaly. The same thing is also true for spiritual experiences lived, they are part of life and according to recent parapsychologic polls, an absolutely incredible number of humans have lived such phenomenons. There will come a time where what our heart feels as being the truth, will be supported by our intelligence which will have truly taken the time to fully deepen it's understanding of spiritual life.

The Divine nature of men is to wish to fullfill his most elevated Ideal. Our Spirits, the infinite part within man, is always calling man to better himself, and to follow this call is fundamentally important for man to not feel as if he was always "missing something". To do so, their fortunatly exists real teachings who come from authentic spiritual Masters. They can be recognised according to the following criterias :

Both always operate in a disinterested way.
An authentic Master does everything in his power to keep his approbation from Heaven and thus, respects the Laws of the Universe. He knows very well that without it's support, it would be impossible to lead his task correctly. He knows that in reality, there is only one Master in the Universe.

He thus keeps himself in the most total of purity, which is absolutely necessary to his work upon the Earth.

He emanates and communicates to others simplicity, Love and Wisdom, but most of all, posesses a great stability. A true Master never changes his life orientation from one day to the other. Right from the minute that he starts his work upon the Earth, his engagement is clear and he respects them to the fullest, whatever the difficulties that he might be met with.

An authentic Master and spiritual Teaching are always difficult and ask alot of investment. Always be wary of those who try to sell you "the easy way", they are adressing your inferior nature. A Master always wishes to feed our superior nature and to do so, never flatters us and never solves our problems in our place. However, he gives us all the necessary means to face them, and it is then up to us to put in the necessary efforts.
"Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and he will eat for the rest of his life."

He always respects the liberty of those who are his disciples. In this way, he proceeds in the same manner that celestial entities do. They enter the inner home of a being ( bringing him their most elevated of toughts, feelings and inspirations ) only when they are invited.

As Master peter Deunov said : "You can know the degree of evolution of a being by the quality of light that emanates from him."

In that sense, a Master is like a flowing Source that gives life to all those who go towards him ( and this can also be done trough thought ). He is like the Sun and at his side, we feel enlivened, joyful and full of great inspirations.

A true Master always perfectly incarnates trough his own being what he teaches.

If you follow an Initiatic Teaching and that it answers the above criterias, do not hesitate any longer to go forward. You are in great luck and have found a most precious jewel, a solid standpoint on which you can count for your spiritual work.

All that you will then have to do, will be to learn to surmount public opinion when it dosen't help you blossom. We must be strong spirited and have enough faith in our good judgement to be ready to verify the most elevated of truths, that men is Spirit, and that he must incarnate the perfection that he is in Spirit trough the matter of his own person. This is however, a road not often traveled. Way to many people who have immense spiritual potential limit themselves because they are afraid of what society will think of them.

When we truly think about it however, the habits of popular culture are perhaps not the best there are and we can lose quite a bit of feathers if we follow them to closely. For exemple; cigarettes, nightclubs, alcool, wrongsaying, violent movies and television shows, publicity pannels and useless products ..... we all too often accept them as being the norm.

Yes, even though these activites are definitly not the most constructive and useful, we still accept them, and for the most part, simply because we never think that it could be possible to live otherwise. Yes, to live with the same energy, but only, transposed, sublimated, into much more beneficial activities. It is not a question of loosing something, but rather of replacing our old habits with much more dignified activities :)

Meditation, prayer, vegetarism and rightful conscious eating, the work for our high Ideal, the betterment of ourselves and of our social exchanges with others, are real sources of benedictions and very vivifying activities. They truly make us live,and not simply undergo life !

The habits of present society are not however, for the most part, directed towards beneficial activities. This really makes me beleive that we shouldn't follow them blindly, and even less, take them as models. If they were truly positive, the whole world would be in a much better state. Everyone knows this but unfortunatly, not many people take the time to find better alternatives, or even think that it is possible to live with way better habits !

As one of my great musician friend says; " The biggest sect in the world is the neo-liberal capitalist society ! ". Yes, if there is really one that wishes to take us all our money and sell us any ideas ( "Buy this and you will be happy !" ), it is truly that one. Rare are those who however, rise up to say that this isin't normal and succeed. Why ? Because to really be able to better things, we must always be capable of bringing something more elevated to replace the old thing. It is the only way. You cannot remove something without filling it with something else.

The last point on which I would like to draw your attention, is on the origion of the word "sect". It's roots are the same as the words "section", "sector" and also "separation" to some extent. They determine something which is cut off from it's ensemble. Yes, to be able to qualify a mouvement as being a sect, it must be separate from it's ensemble ..... but what it that ensemble ? Well, this ensemble, this totality, this great all, is Living Nature, the Universe, the Cosmic Unity and the Laws which gouvern it.

That which enters in harmony with this great Unity, with the structure of this great whole, is not separated from the rest and thus isin't, a sect. Everything that brings people together in harmony, that links them with the great living chain of universal fraternity and all the angelic hiearchies, is acting according to the Laws of the Universe. Everything in Nature forms a great Ensemble, a great majestic Being with thousands and thousands of members, all this ensemble ..... creates Life ! And it is with that quality of life that we must harmonise ourselves to benefit from it's infinite ressources. We must get near to the Source to drink from it, we must open our shades to let the Sun bathe us in it's light. We must have courage to lead the spiritual life and taste the New Life !
