If we truly think about it, there can be only two possibilities to life. Either everything happens by chance, or everything that takes place is founded on laws, and what can sometimes seem to us like a chance event, actually is the result of a law, or of a Divine intervention of Spirit.

If in this universe, there exists the smallest particule of intelligence, and that we do also find this Intelligence within man himself, then it is necessarily that intelligence exists in the universe as a living entity. Even if we say that according to our opinion, there is no intelligence, or that what we think to be intelligence is actually not it, it is in fact with our intelligence that we elaborate all these conclusion. As man is a creature of nature, as he shares the same life as nature, if he was created, or is the result of the intelligence of nature, then intelligence exists.( See the following writing : True Intelligence )

Intelligence being an integral part of nature, how could this grand architect only have given it to certain domains of creation and not to others ? That would be unjust and thus ..... not very intelligent.

For exemple, why would be able to determine with great exactitude that a magnet attracts different metals, but not that different thoughts attract different psychical elements ? How could we be able to plan with great precision the trajectory of a planet, without having the possibility to determine the destiny of a man according to the path he is following ? How could we know the medecinal virtues of certain plants, but not understand the different propreties of our attitudes and states of mind ? As there is an intelligence behind all physical processes, how could there not be one behind all psychical and spiritual processes ?

However, when we say that life is unjust, we act as if nature was wrong or if she had forgotten us somewhere. She has taken billions of years to develop from a single cell to now be able to breathe life to thinking and feeling beings, but she would have forgotten to give a purpose to their existence ?

If the main axe of the world was inclined of just a couple of degrees more, we would litteraly evaporate in space. If the wind was to blow just a bit more strongly, we would constantly be thrown to the left or right without ever being able to build a suitable shelter. If water was more present on earth, we would most likely still all be fish. If the earth was less solid, we would sink right to the core of the earth, etc, etc, etc ! Billions of components, litteraly, permit us to live physicly, and here it is that spiritual life and the destiny of men would be a mere abberation with no laws or correspondances ? Events would simply happen like that without ever any precise cause ? Some things would be pure chance while others, as they are more observable since they are material would have, an evident cause ?

According to what we can observe daily in the world, there does exists a cosmic Justice. Yes, I know that saying that can seem surprising, but I would even say that there is not a single second where wrongdoers are not punished, or rather, where wrongdoers do not receive the echos of their actions.

Nature as built things well. She has constructed the very structure of men so that when he does a mistake, when he does not act according to her law of Love, he feels troubled, he creates an unpleasant obscurity within his conscience. He cannot anymore, taste peace until he as corrected his mistake. Exterior justice or karma trough material events, always waits sometime before getting to work. But inwardly, in our thoughts and feelings, it is absolutely immediate. Master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov always said that karma "took it's time" before acting in matter because it always let time to humans to correct their mistakes and better the situation. He also said that this great patience of Divine justice is a manifestation of Divine Love, and that when humans do not correct their mistakes ..... well the echos they then receive is also a manifestation of Divine Love. Yes, our difficulties are really there to help us progress, to symbolicly, give back what we owe to others to then be able to re-enter cosmic harmony once more.

The Master always said that Nature was not in the same hurry that we are:

We often hear : "If only God existed, if only justice existed in the world, the good people would be rewarded, and the bad, punished. In reality, good persons are rewarded and wrongdoers are punished, but not immediatly. Why ? There are many reasons for that and here is one of them : if the Law punished immediatly human beings for their faults, they would litteraly be pulverised and could never better themselves. But if they are given more time, if they receive a couple of lessons that force them to think, they have the chance to correct the situation. And those who do good actions are also not rewarded immediatly ; otherwise, they would let themselves go and would end up by transgressing the Laws. Heaven leaves them some trials to push them to fortify themselves and permit them to know themselves and then, realise to what extent they are capable of being good and useful. There are then good reasons why the Divine Laws manifest themselves so slowly. But it is absolutely true that good brings good in return, and that wrongdoing then finishes ..... very badly.

When we think about it, perhaps the world seems so fragmented and complicated because for the most part, we only perceive a very small portion of it ? Just as someone who would have discovered a playing card in his home, but cannot understand what it is yet, as he has not found or seen the complete deck of cards. He as not perceived the ensemble in which the part takes all it's meaning. When we do not look at things in their unity, they can seem a bit complicated of course. And that is true for every domain of life. To really be right and prononce ourselves correctly on the events of life, we must be able to do the synthesis, to see every event from an higher point of view and there, grasp the principles that are manifesting themselves behind these events. In the same way, it may be complicated to understand what is happening to a human being when we only see his present incarnation, but if we know that he is a soul and that he has lived many other lives before, everything explains itself. That is the point of view of nature, and according to her, if men presently suffer, there will come a day where they will finally come to behave according to her Laws, and will thank her for not leaving them to roam aimlessly for too long of a time.

We must never think that the Universe is "angry" at wrongdoers and that it punishes them. When we use those therms, it is only a manner of speaking. However, the Universe does want us to be fully conscious of the troubles that they create in one of it's innumerable parts, and thus, they must necessarily receive the echos of their actions as they are themselves also, part of this great Ensemble.

Imagine that you are in space and that you look at the Earth below, so little, so beautiful, wouldn't you feel that it as a great future in front of it ?

When we look at things fro a higher point of view, we always see things that could never be seen from the ground, we obtain the global vision of things. It is then why, we must climb the ladder of our conscience and link ourselves with the eternal Laws and Principles to be in measure of comprehending the situations in which we presently find ourselves in. They are not the results of chance. It is us that have created them, and that also means that we have all the possibilities to better them, and even, when we will have fully grasped the idea, to infinitly improve them !

Karma is not there to be underwent passively, it is meant to be surpassed.The Laws of the Universe are not there to destroy us or impose on us a heavy authority, but really to permit us to become true creators. Because such is our distant predestination, to be fully capable of working with the forces of Nature, the Laws of the Universe and affinities present within every element to create the most beautiful of things. To finally entrer in the great creative danse of Cosmic Harmony.

And what are these Laws of the Universe ?

Well, that is very simple ! What does the gardener do ? He sows as he reaps. And the one who yells on top of a hill in a valley ? He receives the echo of what he has yelled. By the Law of Affinity, we always enter in link exactly with the forces that correspond with what we have attuned ourselves with. What we create as harmonious conditions within, always finishes by attracting the corresponding outer results:

The gardener who does not see vegetables growing whom he as not sowed, is not surprised. He simply says: "Well that's normal my old friend. As you have not sowed carrots, you won't have any carrots. But you can have salads, parsley and onions since you had sowed them." Yes, when it is a question of fruits and vegetables, humans think correctly. But as soon as it is question of the moral, psychical domain, they do not know anything anymore: they beleive that they will receive hapiness, joy and peace, while all the while sowing violence, cruelty and wrongdoing. Well no, they will of course receive violence, cruelty and wrongdoing. But since they do not understand, they are then very surprised and revolt against what is happening to them. Let them now then, learn to observe themselves so that they might only spread trough their words, toughts and feelings, sprouts of light and love and they will have a wonderful destiny.

There will come a time where we will understand this Law of cause and consequence as being self evident. For now though, we are not used to thinking in this way as to matters of psychical life. But, as what is of "best quality" always takes the upper hand over what is less good, or even now, inadequate, this superior attitude will someday become the norm. Because what is the other attitude ..... ? Complain endlessly and stay there doing nothing ..... ? Well, that is not very noble, and not very useful either.

We always hear people complain about the bad situations in which they live. They feel as if they were the victims of destiny, of society, of their boss, of their family even... No, they must know that, by the inner attitude that they have had in previous incarnantions, they have themselves consciously or uncounsciously chosen their actual conditions of existence. Let them change their attitude and the conditions will also change. Yes, the conditions are capable of changing according to your attitude. As long as you think that exterior, material factors are determining and that you do nothing to better something within yourself, you will continue to attract the same deplorable conditions. But if you put in first place the Spirit, light and inner strength, the conditions will end up conforming to the divine principles. Since what is below is like what is above, with time, what is above ( your toughts, feelings, and attitude ) will finish by also realising itself below ( the exterior conditions of your life ).

Now, the great Laws of the universe and the great Principles which gouvern it are :

All these instruction in fact reflect a single great idea:

Troughout the world, litteraly billions of people beleive in reincarnation. Even though in America, this conception of things may be new and rarely heard of, if you go the India or japan for exemple, you will discover that it is the popular philosophy of people. And these populations represent a huge part of the total population of humanity. It is then false to beleive that this belief (which can become a knowledge trought time and great spiritual efforts) is only limited to a few individuals.

As mentionned earlier, without reincarnation, human births and the sometimes very surprising destinies of men would make no sense. The Law of cause and consequence is observable everywhere in nature and it is then impossible to beleive that our destinies would not be affected by them.

Always according to Master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov, the Laws of destiny do not however, apply mathematicly and in exactly the same way for everyone. It's application depends on the degree of evolution of the individual, with it comes less, or more, freedom. Let us take the exemple of a great Initiate who has, following an immense work on his thoughts, feelings and actions, entered in great cosmic harmony trough his efforts made in the present and past lives. Well, it is very possible that he does not have any karmic debts left. Yes, it is possible that he has re-conquered his liberty and that now, it is not destiny which gouverns him but rather, Providence. If he decides to come back to Earth, it will be to accomplish a great work and fullfill a very special mission, even if he stays completely unknown to most men. Remember, a being who has aquired great purity can help others without even seeing them, simply by his meditations and prayers. Many sages in the past, have worked in this way and still do today.

It is also possible that someone who has lead a good life but, having done a mistake and sincerely wanting to correct that mistake, betters himself so much in doing so, that the Spirit, which is above the Laws of Destiny, intervenes in his favor.

Yes, even though it may be possible for a great Initiate to precisely determine what will be the destiny of a being, he can never be 100% sure. The Spirit, which is the supreme force, can always better things and a human being, if he works sincerely and in depth, change some events in his destiny for the best. Karma never condemns being to suffer it eternaly. Remember, a difficult karma is there to be surpassed, and it can really maintain itself only if we feed it. Karma can be compared to a little "smack on the butt" ( according to the measures of eternity of course ) which pushes human beings to correct their faults and evolve.

We can and must learn to use the Laws of the Universe to build a wonderful future for ourselves. For exemple, everytime we send good toughts trough space, their imprint is written within us as well as in the archives of the Universe, and come back to us someday or the other in a form which we did not even expect. For the ignorant man, karma is the worst and ..... the best of things. It prevents him from eternaly making mistakes. For the wise man, the man of virue and goodness, the worker for Heaven on earth, the laws of affinity, of cause and consequence, are an absolute source of benedictions !

They put to work great forces, great luminous imprints and are capable of amplifying them with such strength, that their beautiful states of mind do not leave them anymore. They are in this way, continuously linked with the Divine world and become true beacons of light upon the Earth. They liberate themselves from karma, and their Spirit thus becomes free to abide in it's true home. They become living Sources, and that, simply because they have finally understood how things really worked. They have followed a spiritual teaching to the end, and now, they enter into the great cosmic dance of eternally renewed joy.
